Something I've learned from music is that it's one of the few things on this planet which brings people of all varieties together. I recently looked at the "advanced metrics" of tdirp.blogspot.com and found just this. Unbeknownst to me people from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia have been downloading my playlists. Not only am I flabbergasted people all over the world are enjoying my playlists but I also humbled so many people are listening too. The pure number of people who downloaded the August 2012 playlist was 1893 people. I never would have thought that number of people could have gone above the membership of "Indie Kids". But so be it! So to all those of you who are downloading and listening to my playlists: thank you. Not sure what to say beyond that aside from asking you to keep spreading the word about The Demise of the Indie Rock Playlist. The more the merrier. It's too bad Demonoid got taken down. A few of my playlists had neared 4000 downloads. Now those were good numbers.
On to the music!

I did a lot of research. One of the main alternatives to Demonoid is www.warez-bb.org. It has that similar sense of community.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually pretty impressive. Only thing, it isn't a torrent site.
Thanks for the mix.
